Deadline: May 26, 2025
The Youth4Climate (Y4C) Call for Solutions 2025 is now open. This global initiative supports youth and youth-led organizations working on climate-related projects. The program offers funding for both new and existing solutions that are ready for implementation or expansion, along with learning and development opportunities through partnerships.
Since 2023, Youth4Climate has awarded $2.5 million in direct funding to 100 youth-led climate projects across 52 countries through its first two funding rounds.
Funding Focus Areas
Projects must align with one of the following six thematic areas:
- Sustainable Energy
- Food and Agriculture
- Climate and Health
- Digital for Planet
- Climate, Peace, and Security
- Nature for Climate Action
Background
There are 1.9 billion young people worldwide, making up the largest generation in history. This generation plays a crucial role in climate action as negotiators, innovators, entrepreneurs, and change-makers. However, many youth-led initiatives face barriers due to a lack of financial, technical, and political support.
To address this challenge, the Government of Italy and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in collaboration with key partners, have launched the third edition of the Youth4Climate Call for Solutions to identify and scale youth-driven climate initiatives.
Funding and Additional Benefits
Successful applicants can receive up to $30,000 in seed funding, along with:
- Networking and Visibility: Opportunities to connect with decision-makers at national, regional, and global levels to support project growth.
