Young Impact Associates in Agri-Food Systems Fellowship 2025 (Stipend Provided)

Are you a young African eager to drive positive change through data-driven decision-making in agrifood systems? Do you want to contribute to transforming Africa’s agricultural landscape? The Young Impact Associates (YIA) – Agriculture Focus Fellowship 2025 provides an opportunity to develop your skills in impact measurement while helping shape the future of agrifood systems on the continent.

This year-long fellowship is designed to equip emerging African leaders with expertise in impact assessment and transformative change in the agricultural sector. The program is implemented by a consortium of leading organizations, including CIFOR-ICRAF, African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD), African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), and Akademiya2063.

Fellowship Benefits

  • Selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend throughout the 12-month program.
  • Additional non-financial support will be provided, with details shared at the beginning of the fellowship.
  • Upon completion, fellows will become part of the Mastercard Foundation global alumni network, joining a community dedicated to advancing Africa’s development.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to citizens of Ghana, Kenya, and Uganda who reside in Africa.
  • Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Candidates may be employed full-time, part-time, self-employed, studying, or unemployed.
  • Must have proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • A minimum of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in fields such as social sciences, agricultural sciences, economics, data science, environmental and climate science, international development, policy, or governance.
  • Strong interest in impact measurement and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
  • Willingness to commit to full-time participation for the entire 12-month duration.
