The Wells Fargo Sophomore Discovery Fellowship Program 2026 offers an exceptional opportunity for second-year college students to gain immersive professional experience in the banking and financial services industry. Organized by Wells Fargo, this sponsored summer program allows participants to explore a variety of roles within the company, develop essential workplace skills, and build networks that can support their future career ambitions.
Over the course of the fellowship, participants will engage in job shadowing, skill-building workshops, interactions with professionals across different departments, and the completion of a cohort-based capstone project. Program Components
Participants in the fellowship can expect:
- A comprehensive one-week induction focusing on both technical competencies and soft skills training
- Opportunities for job shadowing and on-the-job exposure within various Wells Fargo departments
- Peer-to-peer networking, including meet-and-greet events with other Early Careers trainees
- A series of executive speaker sessions, “lunch and learn” events, and other cross-departmental networking opportunities

- A formal evaluation process upon completion of the program to help fellows identify strengths and areas for growth
- The potential to earn a full-time internship offer in Wells Fargo’s Early Careers Junior Internship program, based on performance during the fellowship

This fellowship includes a competitive stipend, and where applicable, corporate housing is provided for the duration of the program—at no cost to the fellows.
Who Is Eligible?
To apply, candidates must:
- Be current sophomore students working toward a bachelor’s degree, expecting to graduate in December 2027 or May–June 2028
- Be willing and able to relocate to Charlotte, North Carolina for the duration of the summer program
- Demonstrate at least six months of relevant experience, which may include: internships, part-time work, formal training, military service, or educational projects
