Applications are now open for the OPEC Fund for International Development Internship Program 2025. This prestigious program is designed to offer students from diverse academic disciplines the opportunity to gain valuable experience working with an international organization. Running between three and six months, the internship is structured to:
- Provide a supportive framework that allows students to be integrated into any department within the OPEC Fund, ensuring that their learning experience is both enriching and meaningful.
- Offer an immersive work environment where interns gain practical insights into the operations of an international organization.
- Allow participants to deeply understand the vision, mission, and core values of the OPEC Fund.
Interns are placed in various departments based on their interests, qualifications, and the specific needs of the organization. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, public sector operations; private sector and trade finance; financial operations; risk management; strategic planning and economic services; internal audit; human resources; administration; communication; legal services; and information technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on relevant topics.
- Preparing written documents and reports.
- Organizing and managing information.
- Assisting staff with daily tasks and projects.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be between 19 and 25 years old.
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program (with at least two years completed) or a graduate program; recent graduates (up to one year post-graduation) are also eligible.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic, French, German, or Spanish is an asset.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated interest in the work and mission of the OPEC Fund.
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural, international work environment with respect for diversity.
- Must embody the OPEC Fund’s core values: Integrity, Empowerment, Excellence, Innovation, and Community.
