Deadline for Applications: April 30, 2025
Loughborough University is offering the Development Trust Africa Scholarship for the 2025 academic year, providing full tuition support for a one-year master’s degree. This initiative supports academically gifted individuals from Africa who are committed to contributing to the development of their home countries.
The scholarship is intended to cover 100% of the tuition fees and will replace any other university financial aid the applicant may already have. Note that the scholarship does not include travel, accommodation, or living costs—applicants must demonstrate that they have arranged or are working to secure funds for these needs.
A small number of scholarships will be awarded to top-performing candidates. Funding is made possible through the university’s own resources and contributions from external partners.
What the Scholarship Covers:
- Full course fees for one postgraduate taught program at Loughborough University (UK)
Who Can Apply:
- Individuals currently residing in Africa
- Those with a record of excellent academic achievement, typically shown through a first-class degree
- Applicants who intend to return home after graduation and contribute to national development
- Must understand the financial responsibilities of studying in the UK and show readiness to meet those obligations
- Strong personal drive and proactive efforts to secure additional funding
How to Apply:
Interested candidates should fill out the Global Impact Scholarship form. This form serves as a joint application for both the Development Trust Africa Scholarship and the Global Impact Scholarship, each of which provides a full tuition fee waiver.
