Applications are now open for the Google Conference Scholarships – Africa 2025. Google is committed to fostering diversity in technology by supporting individuals from underrepresented backgrounds. They believe that a variety of perspectives, experiences, and skills are essential in creating innovative tools that can transform the world.

To reduce barriers preventing underrepresented groups in technology and business from attending major industry conferences, Google is offering scholarships for selected tech-related events.

Scholarship Details

Recipients may receive up to $3,000 USD to cover travel and accommodation expenses. The awarded amount is based on the cost of attending an international conference.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:

• Be enrolled as a full-time student at a recognized university in Africa and require financial assistance for conference travel.
• Have an accepted paper at a prestigious computer science conference, preferably in a research area that aligns with Google’s interests.
• Be listed as the sole or joint first author of the accepted paper.
• Not be a Google employee or a resident of an embargoed country, as defined by applicable export control and sanctions regulations.
