Applications are now open for the Global Fellows in Courage (GFiC) Accelerator Program 2025. This six-month virtual accelerator, delivered via Zoom, is designed for social entrepreneurs aged 25-35 dedicated to advocating for human rights and advancing gender justice. The program’s mission is to empower emerging leaders to drive courageous social change, enhance their organizational effectiveness, and further their missions globally.
The Center for Human Rights & Humanitarian Studies (CHRHS) at Brown University is proud to be the academic partner for the GFiC program. CHRHS contributes by developing a comprehensive curriculum that covers leadership, organizational development, and current human rights issues. Esteemed faculty from Brown University lead sessions and share their expertise with the fellows.
Program Benefits
GFiC aims to equip fellows with critical knowledge and networks, offering:
- Curriculum: Access to an online curriculum with bi-monthly Zoom meetings.
- Cohort Community: Connection with a global network of human rights leaders and ongoing engagement as alumni of both GFiC and Brown University’s Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies.
- Expert Connections: Access to a worldwide network of experts to support mission advancement and impact.
- Stipend: A $2,500 stipend awarded upon successful program completion, recognizing dedication and active participation.
- Grant Opportunity: Eligibility to apply for up to $10,000 in funding to support project progress upon completion.
- Certification: A certificate of completion from both GFiC and the Brown University Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies.
Eligibility Criteria
The program is intended for emerging leaders with proven leadership experience and high potential. Ideal candidates should have made a tangible impact in human rights advocacy through entrepreneurship and possess a strong record of success. A strong command of English is required.
Additional eligibility requirements include:
- Applicants must be aged between 25 and 35, with possible exceptions.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in human rights advocacy, activism, community organizing, or social entrepreneurship.
- Demonstrated involvement in Gender Justice or related areas.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
