The University of Bonn invites applications for the 2025 edition of its Bonn International Fellowships — a fully funded opportunity to spend nearly two weeks in one of Germany’s most research-active academic environments.
Why Apply?
This fellowship brings together brilliant minds from across the globe for short but impactful visits of up to 12 days. During your stay, you’ll collaborate with University of Bonn faculty, give talks or lectures, and explore ways to establish lasting research connections.
Who Is Eligible?
This fellowship is open to scholars who:
- Conduct research outside of Germany.
- Have a strong academic reputation at the international level.
- Have been formally invited by a Bonn-based faculty member.
- Have not received the fellowship previously.
Important Note: Individual researchers cannot apply directly. The nomination must come from the University of Bonn host.
What’s Included?
- €160 per day for your stay, including arrival and departure.
- Travel costs (based on your country of origin).
- Up to €500 for materials related to public engagement or events.
- All visits must take place between January and December 2026.
