Canadian Association for Studies in Co-operation (CASC) Scholarship 2025 – Applications Now Open

Deadline: March 31, 2025

Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 Canadian Association for Studies in Co-operation (CASC) Scholarship program. Co-operatives and Mutuals Canada (CMC) invites eligible students to apply for the following three scholarships:

• Alexander Fraser Laidlaw Fellowship – Open to graduate students
• Amy and Tim Dauphinee Scholarship – Open to graduate students
• Lemaire Co-operative Studies Award – Open to undergraduate and graduate students

Scholarship Benefits

Recipients of these scholarships will receive:

• Financial support through a monetary award to assist with their studies
• Networking opportunities, including a complimentary one-year membership in CASC and free registration for the CASC conference, providing a chance to connect with professionals in the co-operative sector
• Professional growth, with the opportunity to present research at a CASC conference, increasing academic exposure and contributing to co-operative studies

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following conditions:

• Be enrolled at a Canadian university or a university-equivalent college, regardless of citizenship status
• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident pursuing studies at a recognized institution outside Canada

Additionally, applicants should either be currently conducting research or planning to do so within one calendar year.

Application Requirements

To apply, candidates must complete the application form and submit the following:

• Copies of previous degree(s) and transcripts
• A list of academic awards, distinctions, and scholarships (if applicable)
• Two letters of reference, with at least one from an academic referee
• A detailed outline of the research project
