Applications are now open for the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) for the 2025/2026 academic session. These prestigious scholarships offer individuals from across the Commonwealth the chance to pursue a two-year master’s degree in a low- or middle-income member country.
This opportunity is designed for students committed to community development and global cooperation. QECS aims to empower individuals through education and international exposure, equipping them with the skills and networks necessary to drive social change in both their host and home countries.
What the Scholarship Covers:
- Full tuition fees for the selected master’s program
- Monthly stipend to cover living expenses throughout the program
- Return flights in economy class to the host country
- Initial settlement allowance
- Research support grant (available upon request and approval)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to nationals and those with refugee status in any Commonwealth country
- Must apply for a program in a country different from one’s own nationality or residence
- Refugees should apply based on the country in which they are recognized as refugees
- Applicants must hold at least a 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification)
- Scholarships are not available in high-income Commonwealth countries (e.g., UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand)
