The Czech Government Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies 2026 (SSSS 2026) scholarships are now open for applications for the July–August 2026 intake. Funded by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, this fully funded short-term programme offers international participants the opportunity to undertake intensive Czech language and cultural studies at leading public universities across the country.
The programme is designed for students, academics, researchers, translators, and professionals with an interest in Czech language, literature, history, and broader Slavonic studies. The Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies 2026 will be hosted at several prominent Czech universities, each offering intensive language courses and cultural programming.

Courses are available at all proficiency levels, from beginner (A0) to advanced (C1). Instruction is primarily delivered in Czech, with English support where necessary, depending on participants’ language proficiency.
In addition to classroom instruction, the programme includes lectures on Czech culture and history, literary seminars, workshops, and organised excursions to historical sites and cultural institutions.
Scholarship Benefits
The SSSS 2026 scholarship is funded directly by the Czech government and covers major programme-related expenses. Selected participants will receive:
Full registration and tuition fee coverage
Study materials
Accommodation in student dormitories
Board and lodging for the duration of the course
Access to organised cultural programmes, excursions, theatre visits, music and dance performances
All covered costs are paid directly to the host university by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic.
Participants are responsible for covering:
International travel expenses to and from the Czech Republic

Health and travel insurance

Eligibility Criteria
